It's McDonald's!! The only reason it's even getting a review is because I can't sleep. There are ALWAYS flies around the soda machine...GROSS. So I never order anything but a Sweet Tea--that's because it's located behind the register and I have yet to see the workers swatting at insects. The thing that keeps me coming back though? The $1 cheeseburger...as someone who likes to spend as little as possible, to get a cheeseburger, small fry and huge iced tea for $3.24 is pretty effing phenomenal. So I give it three stars. Shoot me.

I give the location 3 stars and add another star for the fact that they have an indoor jungle gym play area for my son. I only really go to McD's when the McRib comes back on their menu...oh please, don't judge me...like you've never had one! Recently though, their coffee has been very good and now that they offer it in any size for a $1 how could the frugal side of me refuse! Hands down no other fast food restaurant french fried comes anywhere close to McDs fries. It's always a hit or miss with service when you order through their drive-thru but when you walk into one the service and all is pretty good.

My only problem is that I ordered a southwest salad and the only there isn't much salad and no tortilla chips. It's not a southwest without the chips. And not that much corn or beans. Feels like a regular salad with cheese and chicken. The only thing that make it ok was the dressing was southwest. I don't think I will be ordering the salad at this location.

Always rude, food 90% of the time is cold and old. Now they also charge for the restroom (claim people stole the bathroom tokens, so you must pay a quarter even if you bought food). They just got a good location, so they get away with it. Corporate should evaluate this franchise. All should complain and maybe it will be noticed.

It's your average run of the mill McDonalds and very convenient, located right off the train, and of course, the cheap artery clogging meals. If Burger King took it's spot the next day, I wouldn't even notice. It's packed in the morning and acts as second nursery home for friendly Astorian elders who purchase a coffee every two hours and trap you into a long conversation of Astoria way back when, last century. I'm loving it. Main caveat: there's this weird security guy (you can tell him apart by the weird suit and judging eyes) who times your meals and makes sure you are actually purchasing something, instead of sitting down and taking up one of their many vacant seats. Look man I'm just thinking of what to order, get off my back. What? My ass just touched the seat and you want to know how long I'll stay? Seriously, why does this establishment need security? This is Astoria not Compton. Not even the shadiest neighborhood in Harlem employ security. I don't want to eat while being judged by a poor mans Mr. Rogers, a portly man in a tweed jacket.

It's McDonald's, so my rating isn't based on their food. I really like this location cause it's just under the Ditmars subway station and it's usually clean. The staff is quick and polite but when I end up home with a messed up order with wrong and forgotten items I'm really annoyed.

I come here often service is fast friendly and accurate for the most part. However today really wasn't up to par with the food. I'm shocked. I went through the drive through and I got cold food and my fries tasted like the oil hasn't been changed in way over two weeks and they were burned. I'm very disappointed.

Beware: Psychotic security guard! .. Not only does he think he owns the place (I've heard him a couple of times refer to workers as "my employees") he seems to enjoy creating confrontations and disturbances over ridiculous things, especially when the place is crowded. Almost every time I go there this guy is provoking someone just to make a scene. Also, fruit flies around the beverage machines. Stay away.

Had been there today just to see if I can be lucky to have a better coffee than before. Not bad. Didn't get disappointed today.

This has to be the WORST one ever.. !! The fact that even tho there are a good amount of seats in this place.. I can never seem to get one due to the fact there are always older age men sitting taking up about 5 tables at one time.. while they are sitting there talking and having one cup of coffee.. It`s annoying.. Then just today I go there or lunch and see the same thing. so I brought it to a workers attention only to get told that it not his problem!!! REALLY?? and this is a person who has a job?? I will NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS STORE EVER AGAIN!! people always run in from the train and use the bathroom which STINKS ..the workers are not good at what they are getting paid to do that's for sure.. AND BEWARE of the jungle gym for kids.. Its a breeding ground for germs and diseases.. keep your kids safe..

This is McDonalds, which is like any other McDonalds in the world. It's messy, but what can we do? And when it's messy ,the food is usually NOT good. The staff forgot my cookies . And well here is my review for McDonalds. Welcome.

FRUIT FLIES GALORE ON AND OFF RUDE STAFF If you would like to be overwhelmed by fruit flies while enjoying your breakfast sandwich then go here. If you like getting your foot mopped by the cleaning guy while enjoying your food, then eat here. If you like semi-angry people at the cash register, then eat here. If you would like to be disturbed by random crazy people walking in and out of the restaurant then eat here.

This mcdonalds has the potential to recieve a four star rating but for a couple reasons I cant give it to them tody. One is that there are always flies around the counter and food prep area which is digusting. The second reason is my main problem with this place which is their "security guard" if he is even legit. Ive asked the manager if he really does work for them and he said yes. To put it simply I find it really hard to eat around this man who has various comments to say to everyone acting like hes all that. Not only that but he is also always staring at little kids and offers to watch them as their parents go to the bathroom. This really creeps me out. The third reason is that they have a whole floor that they arent using which is ridicolous! It sometimes is hard to find seating and it looks like there might be one of those playscapes down their as well.

Yeah, that's right. I just gave a MCDONALD'S 5 stars. The McRib is back now (Nov./Dec. 2010) and they had it. I would 5 star EVERY McDonald's if I could for this amazing feat of pop-culture goodness. Is it better than a big mac? No. But it's RARER than a big mac, and for that, I salute it. Thank you, Ditmar's McDonald's for being right on my way home from work the day I found out that this yummy, limited time only, sandwich had returned. Bring on a Shamrock Shake, and I'll TEN star review you! I don't know how, but I'll find a way.

It's a McDonald's, and they're open late! If you want McDonald's, you're pretty short on options. This one is a McDonald's.

Staff rude and incompetent, honestly i do not understand how no one has made a serious complaint. Today at 10,30 pm after work I had the brilliant idea of going to Mc Donald ....The waitress says to me in a bad mood : what you want instead to ask in a polite way what i would like, i order and she looks as she was doing a favor to me, i ask for Chicken McNuggets and she goes : what sauce u want!? i ask also for a happy meal 2go when i got home there was no straw for the apple juice , there was not a toy that normally comes. the nice thing is that all this happens under the eyes of the manager who sees me upset he also asked me: what's up? these people don't know how to make business. ZERO STAR FOR ME

Roughly 16 months ago, this McDonalds location was the poor victim of a roof cave in from bad weather and faulty construction. Fast forward a little more than a year later, this joint is sparkling new, clean, and the perfect hangout for Astoria's displaced delinquent youth. Aside from the new digs, there is not much to celebrate here since there the service still sucks and the prices have actually gone up. The new practically all Indian staff seemed very clueless during my initial visit here as they were unable to substitute something from one of their value meals. They also were not all that friendly despite the fact I caught them screwing up on my order (I asked for nuggets, not mozzarella sticks!). The patrons-only bathroom is quite clean, but I don't expect it to look that way in the next 6 months. I've noticed there is almost always someone moping the floors near the staircase that leads to the basement where there is more seating. I'm smelling an accident :::coughs:: law suit.. waiting to happen.

I stop by here quite often and have seen it change in the last five years. It used to be messy and dirty and just a place to quickly stop by to get something fun for granny to eat. This time the Play Place is clean and neat (yes, there is a Play Place right next to elevated Subway Tracks.) The bathroom remains clean (reference to Alex S.'s review) and the staff is now half hispanic and still do not speak that much more other than the menu selection. The manager was called over to read my coupon to make sure it was good. It was. They accepted it. Not bad.

I had a surprise birthday party for my 29 year old husband. Not one child attended lol. Patty the district manager, Chis the store manager and Marcel our party planner were amazing! There was nothing more we could have asked for. They closed the playroom for our party. Marcel even went in there an hour before and bleached the whole room down herself! The service was outstanding and the food was good. Definitely a night to remember.

It's new so it's clean. Which is nice. I had my first Swamp Sludge McFlurry here a couple days ago to celebrate my new apartment. And it was satisfying enough. It turned my ice cream green. That was kinda cool. Green's my favorite color. As a result I have generously given 2 stars to a 0 star establishment. Whatever. I asked for water and they gave me water from the sink. My roommate asked for water and the cashier tried to refuse her. ?!!?@@$?! On the multiple occasions I've had to deal with this franchise underneath my train stop that lured me in with its succulent smell of greasy fries ... I've been incredibly disappointed by the service. As a result I've compiled a list. Top Reasons NOT To Go To Ditmars Stop McDonald's (if you can help it.) Number 5: Cold as freaking Antarctica in here! Number 4: Nobody on staff can say much else other than what is on the menu. Number 3: 7 Bucks for a fish sandwich meal?! Really?! Number 2: There are about 5 things on the Dollar Menu. What's with that? That wouldn't fly in California. Number 1: No water on tap! COME ON! Did you really just give me water from your wash sink? Really?!

Honestly one of the worst run McDonald's you'll ever encounter. The staff is always rude and clueless. Unfortunately if I need my McDonald's fix, this place is 3 min from where I live. Yesterday is just another example in incompetence and rudeness. I went to the counter and asked for a 6 piece Chicken McNuggets for $1.59? The cashier's response was what kind of chicken do I want? I then replied... what do you mean what kind of chicken? She's like well we have 6 piece, 10 piece and 20 piece. I was like, I just told you specifically 6 piece nuggets for $1.59. She gives me a dirty look and says ok. What an effin joke!!! With so many good people unemployed, we have this piece of S**T working here who can't even respect a customer or listen to an order. At least, she did get my sauce right lol the sad part is, I'll most likely be back at this McD's next time I need a Mc Nuggets fix. Maybe next time I'll bring Flashcards so they can better understand my order...DOH!
